AT RESONANCE...

I propose to place ourselves in the 'between', in the procedural and transitional spaces, spaces of imbalance and questioning. The invitation is to place the research in that space in which the border, quoting Andrea Soto: 'while it is a space in which a limit is established, it is also the place where its rupture is played; it is not just a line that separates, as it is always a gap, a place of flow and desire, and hence its fragility. '

I propose to place our gaze on the common field, where various ways of thinking, feeling and experiencing diverse issues of philosophy, movement, perception or the creative process, can meet, cooperate and generate shared sensibilities and investigate on the margins and their power.

BIO

Laura Vilar is a dancer, creator, teacher and researcher in contemporary dance

Bachelor's degree in Humanities, UAB

Master's degree in Artistic Research and Design, EINA, UAB

Currently:

• PhD student in Dance philosophy at UAB, with the ongoing artistic research 'Voyager' (solo)

• Member of the professor teams in some subjects of the Bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the UAB

• Co-director of nunArt Guinardó since September 2019

• Coordinator of the Vocational Training at the school Area in Barcelona since 2017

• Teacher at Institut del Teatre, Barcelona

• Collaborates with Compagnie Taffanel since 2003

• MURAD master's degree thesis tutor (master's degree in artistic research and design EINA, UAB)

• Teaches workshops national and internationally

Before:

She started dancing in Barcelona at the school Varium, where she received contemporary training. After some time at the UAB dance group, she began her professional career in companies such as:

• Trànsit, Hermanas de Castro, Salvatge cor, La Inconnexa, Lanònima Imperial, Dance Theatre of Ireland

• She has been working and collaborating with Compagnie Taffanel since 2003

• Dancer at Cobosmika Company (2006-2013), with whom she has toured internationally with Russell Maliphant Company

As a creator, she has presented projects such as:

• 'L’Espera', 'La ment en dansa', '[fi:l]', 'Quan es mostrà en el matí...', 'El viatge de Penélope', the talk 'Reflexions sobre la dansa', 'Uke-Nage', o 'Tatlin’s Tower', and as [vbuit] with Miquel Barcelona: 'You are so beautiful', 'Ocells', 'La vida era', 'El banquet' i 'Sanjiao'

• Director of the piece 'ZIP', with Les Impuixibles, Ariadna Peya and Clara Peya

• Artistic coordinator of the National Dance Production 2017-2018

She has been teaching both nationally and internationally at centers such as:

• Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy, Saineb dance company Istanbul, Universitat Linz Anton Bruckner, Varium, Area, El Timbal, Eòlia, nunArt, among others

• Director of the training project Grup de Treball, with Ona Mestre and Quim Vilagram at nunArt
