Laura Vilar (ES/AT) is a dancer, creator, teacher and researcher, currently living in Vienna. She holds a doctorate in philosophy from the UAB with artistic research through dance. She is a member of the teaching team of the Master's Degree in Artistic Research and Design, EINA-UAB. She co-directs nunArt, an artistic research center in Barcelona and is part of the Dance Pedagogy department of the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, teaching different subjects. She teaches workshops both nationally and internationally. She has been coordinator of Professional Training at the Area dance school (2017-2021). As a dancer she has worked in different companies, highlighting Compagnie Taffanel (2003-2010) and Compañía Cobosmika (2006-2013), with whom she worked internationally with Russell Maliphant's company. In recent years she has presented the creations Sanjiao, (2018), Voyager (2019) and Attempts at (dis)appearance (2021-2022). She is currently the artistic director of the Im_flieger Schule’24 project, Vienna.
